The Atami Fireworks Festival is held over 15 times throughout the year, not just in the summer, and has become a specialty of Atami.
Approximately 5,000 fireworks will be launched over Atami Bay, illuminating the night sky.
One of the attractions of the Atami Fireworks Festival is that the venue, Atami Bay, is shaped like a mortar surrounded by mountains on three sides, so the sound of fireworks set off in the sea reverberates, creating an acoustic effect similar to that of a large stadium.
Another highlight is the fireworks that imitate Star Mine and Niagara Falls, and the fireworks launched from the sea create a beautiful scene on the sea surface.
Popular viewing spots include Atami Sun Beach and Water Park, where you can enjoy fireworks while sitting on the beach.
