Atami traffic information
Atami Station is a station that can be reached in about 40 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo Station.
It is served by three lines: JR East's Shinkansen/Ito Line and JR Tokai's Tokaido Main Line, and the JR Ito Line connects Atami Station with Kinomiya Station, Izu-Taga Station, and Ajiro Station in about 13 minutes.
The main means of transportation within the city are local buses and taxis, but on Saturdays and Sundays, the Yu-Yu Bus is a good deal!

From Tokyo Station, it takes about 45 minutes to take the Kodama train to Atami Station, and about 36 minutes to Atami Station by the Hikari train (▲ in the table).

If you are going by car from Tokyo Station to Atami Station, the closest route is to take the Tomei Expressway to Atami Station via Odawara-Atsugi Road.

In the case of Shin-Tomei, there is a route that involves getting off at the Nagaizumi-Numazu IC, going via the Izu Jukan Expressway, and then entering Atami Town from the Nekkan Expressway.

You can ride the JR Ito Line from Atami Station to Ito Station, but within Atami City, the train stops at Atami Station, Kinomiya Station, Izu-Taga Station, and Ajiro Station.

From Atami Station, take a route bus to Atami Port.
